_-_ <----that's me. fainted on the ground upside down.
YIKES....things at work are so busy this week. The stress. Not worth it. Really. Doing work with no ownership is like dragging your feet on tar.
I'm just totally zapped. The constant "naggin" from the boss is really getting on my nerves. But I guess what I do can't be compared to some other jobs which use stress as the definition of the job.
That plus something else on my mind makes me sleepless in singapore. Don't you just hate it when you wake up before your alarm rings, and you can't fall back asleep? On top of that, you peer out into sheer darkness cos the sun hasn't even risen yet.
Check out the sunflower motorcycle!
i'm sure some of you have spotted it on the rd before. Pretty funny huh?
The Arts HouseMy colleagues and I were at the Arts House to meet a client. Who was 40 mins late -_-. So we were photo whoring and acting cute in front of the camera to kill time. Joyce loves to take "act cute" photos, and makes us do the same. haha. The finger to cheek thing is taking over the jap peace sign as the most popular asian pose this season. Trust me. hahaa

Last night... met up with stan and cheryl! Can you believe we went to newton, and ate nothing? Everyone was already stuffed from dinner.
Ok..... that's all for now folks. I'm in a terrible mood. This is all i can churn out before i type something loopy on the blog.
The unexpected talk to you was great. =)
"preserved in salt and vinegar"...... cracked me up.
xoxo
Its a "super chichi" thing
I'm in the mood to blog! hehe. Although i really don't have much to talk about.
This is one of my fav asian snacks! SUPER RING..... its truly SUPER! My colleague bought it for me when i mentioned how much i like it. Such a sweetie.

................
last night dropped by this church event. Some chill out jazz thing. Ef and were smiling for the camera with "chichi" on our lips. I can deny "tai tai" all i want cos i'm unmarried, but i think i can't deny appearing "chichi". Apparently, ef and I are deemed "chichi" by the cell. Singaporeans are constantly coming up with new words to describe things. To my surprise... the word chichi is not singlish! haha..Its etymology is french.
Chichi (adjective)
\SHEE-shee\
Definition:
self-consciously stylish: trying too hard or too obviously to be chic or modish
All this designer furniture - isn't it just a bit chichi?
Being chi chi an informally disapproving adjective tho.... Means that i'm "
over-elaborate and affected; fussy; trying too hard to be decorated in a stylish or attractive way and therefore lacking any real style or beauty." I do try... but do I look like a too try hard? haha... I'd be happy to live in denial. So don't answer that for me.
...............
Happy Father's Day!
4 months on
today makes it the 4th month since i've been back. Time really flies... *zoom zoom zoom*
I still remember when i left, germaine mentioned that she was coming to singas in june. that seemed so far away, but yet now, she's been here, and gone. Definitely looking forward to stan, seki and unk denny coming next.
Things are definitely more settled now. I have a routine worked out in terms of my day to day stuff. But i still wonder what i'm doing here at times.
What am i here for God? is this really the job you want me in? are these they people i'm supposed to influence? why am i still not at peace with my life and what will make me happy like i used to be?
yes.... what will make me happy?
i can't even answer that myself. How do i pursue something i can't define?
On another note. I went shopping today for almost 7 hours. My soles are sore and my back aches. And you'd be proud to hear that i didn't buy anything except a birthday pressie. hee. Had a yummy Russian dinner with ef at shashlik! MMMmmmmMM. =)
Sweet.
just for nicky
Nicky! i have no time to blog these days. haha.
I've just gotten into work this morning, will do a quik one before the boss comes in. hehe.
Thanks mun mun for the St Marg's bear! I don't think you can tell, but i made her have a private school collar. wahaha.

On Sat, I met germaine, and anita! We went to Ben and Jerry's at Dempsey. Sweet.

My boss is an alco! He comes knocking on the door 1/2 hr till the end of the day to offer some red wine. No wine glasses, but hey. Can't complain.

Okay... i better get cracking! xoxo
Shopping plea
I have a lemming =)

Anyone coming to singapore soon and willing to bring this back for me from witchery?
Please? i'll pay you back plus a treat of good food and company here. hehe
*patiently waiting*
zouk me no more
If you ever wondered how i looked tan....
HAahahaa..... the studio where i took my family portrait is so ridiculous! my normally tan brother and dad looked fair, and the normally fair mum and I looked so bronzed! The tried to normalise the tones, cos it was so contrasting. But still! I don't put sunblock everyday to be immortalised in a
portrait looking like i go to the beach every week. Thank goodness they'd get things fixed. phew.
For mum's birthday, we went for
italian at
il lido over in
sentosa. I had a
wagyu stew. So disappointing! The only way to eat
wagyu is either raw, or as a steak. Like seriously.

Last night i headed down to
oosh at
dempsey for an aft work drink, then went on down to
zouk. OH MY.. like i said... NEVER AGAIN to
zouk pls!
It was such a random night. I was planning to meet one bunch of people, but ended up with another.
haha. Junie was so sweet to be with. We "suffered" in the crowd together the whole night. Didn't even get to dance cos it was so packed out. poo. I'd never had a worse exp of poor crowd control than in
Phuture in my entire life. I kid you not. It was so packed, there was nothing called personal space.
junie and I were sandwiched skin to skin. So much so that you have absolutely no control of where your body can move. For a solid 10 15
mins, we were immobile. stuck between people, and helpless as can be.

The
tai tai thing.... i think i better start embracing it and taking it in better light. It's just coming up too often to be grumbling about. Met another dude last night, and 10
mins in conversation, the word "
tai tai" came out. AGAIN. i retaliated by calling him gay.
wahaha...
Lazy boring sat.... might go meet
germaine again later! =)
Last Tue
The events department in our company organised Unilever's office launch party. So some of us tagged along.
They have an amazing selection of ice cream in the pantry for their staff! We were sooo jealous.
There was an ice bar/ some of my colleagues/ EIC band/ the view from their rooftop office
Friday
Joel, Mandy, Jon, Kenneth and I went to Changi village. They brought clueless me there to look at the trannies. haha. Quite an eye opener. They were pretty good looking i reckon
Ate some famous changi nasi lemak =)
Went to Pasir ris park to play in the playground =)
Joel and Jon were in this spinning disc thing. Like a hamster wheel. SUPER FUNNY! its one of those things you get into and can't stop spinning unless you fall./ caught sight of some pretty strays.
Sat
Went over to Jason's to chill, had some drinks, watched victoria secrets, taboo, mahjong.
lastly.... happy birthday mum!
Oh and the "tai tai" thing.... Its still hitting me full force. Met at least a couple of new people this weekend, and they stereotyped me into the tai tai category immediately. FAR OUT. The way one dresses or looks does not directly reflect their personality. i should remember that about judging others too soon too.
I honestly can say singaporean social culture works too much on stereotypes and there is no opening for individuality. First few questions are always, what school were you from, what do you do or what do you drive.
Examples
SIA stewardesses = skinny, fair, gucci or LV loving ah lians.
MGS/ACS = High profile snobs and crust of society
Merc/beemer/ ...etc = rich kid
As cliff says.... Singapore is superficial. The only consolation is that it's entertaining when peering into the scene. Not so much when you're in it.
Get me outta here.
