Last Tue
The events department in our company organised Unilever's office launch party. So some of us tagged along.
They have an amazing selection of ice cream in the pantry for their staff! We were sooo jealous.

There was an ice bar/ some of my colleagues/ EIC band/ the view from their rooftop office

Friday
Joel, Mandy, Jon, Kenneth and I went to Changi village. They brought clueless me there to look at the trannies. haha. Quite an eye opener. They were pretty good looking i reckon
Ate some famous changi nasi lemak =)

Went to Pasir ris park to play in the playground =)
Joel and Jon were in this spinning disc thing. Like a hamster wheel. SUPER FUNNY! its one of those things you get into and can't stop spinning unless you fall./ caught sight of some pretty strays.

Sat
Went over to Jason's to chill, had some drinks, watched victoria secrets, taboo, mahjong.

lastly.... happy birthday mum!

Oh and the "tai tai" thing.... Its still hitting me full force. Met at least a couple of new people this weekend, and they stereotyped me into the tai tai category immediately. FAR OUT. The way one dresses or looks does not directly reflect their personality. i should remember that about judging others too soon too.

I honestly can say singaporean social culture works too much on stereotypes and there is no opening for individuality. First few questions are always, what school were you from, what do you do or what do you drive.

Examples

SIA stewardesses = skinny, fair, gucci or LV loving ah lians.

MGS/ACS = High profile snobs and crust of society

Merc/beemer/ ...etc = rich kid

As cliff says.... Singapore is superficial. The only consolation is that it's entertaining when peering into the scene. Not so much when you're in it.

Get me outta here.
